1.2008 Noida double murder case
The Noida double murder case happened in 2008. This double murder case was the hottest breaking news throughout the year (2008). This news received sensational coverage from the media. The case is about the murder of 13-year-old girl Aarushi Talwar and 45-year-old Hemraj Banjade.
Aarushi was born on 24th May 1994. She studied at the Delhi public school till her death. She was raised by her parents who were dentists, Dr.Rajesh Talwar and Dr. Nupur Talwar. Aarushi lived with their parents in an apartment. Hemraj , a domestic worker, lived with the Aarushi family. He would stay at Aarushi’s apartment. He had a separate room in the house.
On 16th May 2008 on Friday, housemaid Bharati came to Aarushi’s house. After Bharati reached the apartment and rang the bell from 6AM, no one responded. Usually Hemraj would open the door. Then Nupur Talwar came to open the door, but the front door was locked outside. To open the door Nupur Talwar thrown the keys from the balcony to Bharati.
So that Bharati can open the door from the outside. Both Nupur and Bharati looked for Hemraj. Bharati started her daily work when Nupur went to wake up Aarushi, the door was latched not locked. Aarushi room is a self-locked type. No one can open the door from outside. Only it could be opened with the key from the outside. The couple had entered the room, they found Aarushi was lying on the bed and her body was covered by a blanket.
Bharati also came inside the room, she noticed something in Aarushi’s body and saw Aarushi neck was lacerated. Bharati too was shocked and they were all stunned “what happened last night?”
Immediately Nupur’s thought went to Hemraj. He was the only person who had been missing when it all was happening. The police alleged that Hemraj was the prime suspect in this case. The whole family blamed Hemraj would be the killer.
Then the police started their investigation on Hemraj. The next day morning 17th May, the investigators visited Talwar’s terrace and found some bloodstains. Then a group of police went upstairs and found a body that was lying in the pool in decomposed state. The police team couldn’t recognize whose body that was.
Then they confirmed it was the servant Hemraj and the whole case got perplexed. Then again the case started to went on. This time the police team alleged that suspect would have been another servant of Talwar’s house.
Later the police were unable to find enough evidence to prove Vishnu the temporary servant was the murderer. After confirming that the two servants were not killers. For multiple reasons, the police started to suspect Aarushi’s father and mother. After more investigation, they claimed Rajesh Talwar had an affair with another woman. He felt Aarushi as a disturbance for his affair.
So he might have killed his Daughter! He had also killed Hemraj in the terrace, and he killed Aarushi to connect the two murders, as Hemraj sexually assaulted her daughter and killed her! These are the possibilities kept before the judge by Gurdashan Singh (police higher official).
Rajesh and Nupur denied the blame.
Eventually, the Allahabad court had reliable on Talwar and had not been found any relevant evidence in the murder case. Till date the Noida case is referred as an unsolved mysterious case in India. The file has not been closed, the investigation goes on.
